Tom, here is the beginnings of the large 5 story structure I’m working up. I first created a mock up in pink foam just to get a rough idea of the layout and foot print making changes as I went. It helped me get a better idea of such a complex structure with multiple different levels and bump outs that has several different roof styles. What you see here is the next step which is building a new mock up that is going to be very close to scale so I can fine tune the design and get it closer to a final version. This piece is the core of the structure, it will be added on to on every side and the top as well. Inside is a ledge all the way around that acts as reinforcement and also a place to set room boxes on if I choose to add some interior scenes in certain windows. This mock up is made of 0.040 styrene. I will share more pics after more additions are made

I made a mold of silicone rubber of nut bolt washers so I could cast my own as an experiment to see if it would work. The mold is so small that it requires probably less than a teaspoon of resin to fill it. That’s to small amount to mix easily. It would be better suited as a place to pour excess resin from a bigger project, to use up any leftover resin that can be scraped from the sides. Since I didn’t want to mix such a small amount, I decided to try and fill the mold with craft paint. It did work but I had to fill it multiple times because as the water evaporated from the paint, it shrank and left a void in the mold. I probably topped off the paint in the mold 6 times before it stayed full of cured paint. Did it work? Yes, do I recommend it? No. Resin would be the better choice, but in a pinch, it could be done. 👌

Debbie Now In Rehab

After nearly a week in the hospital and 2 surgeries. Yes, two different techs bent her leg too far causing her hip joint to come out of the socket. She had to go back in surgery to have it put back in place.

Finally on Monday afternoon they transported her to the Wauchula Rebab Center where she is doing much better. She likes the room and had her first eval by physical therapy this morning (Tuesday). Waiting on Doctors Okay to start therapy tomorrow.
